Every supplement and health product makes claims. We check whether the evidence supports them.
TutelaMedical's Research Reviews are structured, evidence-based evaluations of supplements, wellness products, and health formulations. Each review follows the same methodology: we assess ingredient evidence from published clinical literature, verify dosage adequacy against studied concentrations, evaluate formulation transparency, and render a clear editorial judgment in “The Verdict.”
Here's what the research actually shows — for every product we cover.
How We Evaluate Products
We built our review methodology around a simple principle: the same criteria, applied consistently, across every product in a category. This is what separates editorial analysis from marketing.
Ingredient Evidence: We review the published clinical literature for every active ingredient — not just the manufacturer's selected citations. We distinguish between human trials, animal studies, and in-vitro research, because these represent different levels of confidence. When the evidence is thin, we say so. When it's mixed, we explain why.
Dosage Verification: An ingredient is only as effective as its dose. We compare label-listed dosages to the concentrations used in clinical studies. If a product includes a studied ingredient at half the studied dose, you need to know that before you buy it. Products that hide individual dosages behind proprietary blends get flagged — because you can't verify what you can't see.
Formulation Transparency: Does the label tell you exactly what's inside and how much? Or does it list a “proprietary complex” with a combined weight and no individual breakdowns? Transparency isn't everything — a transparent product can still be underdosed — but it's the minimum standard for independent verification.
Value Assessment: We don't chase the cheapest option. We evaluate what you're getting per dollar relative to formulation quality. A well-dosed, transparent product at $55 represents better value than an underdosed proprietary blend at $30.
The Verdict: Every review concludes with a clear editorial judgment. We'll tell you who this product is actually good for, who should skip it, what the realistic expectations are, and whether the evidence supports the asking price. No hedging into uselessness — you came here for an answer, and we'll give you one.

Reviews by Category
Weight Management Supplements — Formulations targeting metabolic support, appetite regulation, thermogenesis, and fat metabolism. We evaluate whether the ingredient dosages match the clinical evidence — not the marketing claims.
Men's Health & Performance — Testosterone support, prostate health, male vitality, and performance formulations. A category where marketing consistently outpaces evidence — we help you find the exceptions.
Cognitive & Brain Health — Nootropics, memory support, neuroprotective formulations. We assess whether the compounds have human trial data supporting cognitive benefits at the doses included.
Respiratory & Lung Support — Mullein, NAC, and other compounds marketed for respiratory wellness. We evaluate traditional-use claims against the current state of clinical evidence.
Joint, Bone & Mobility — Collagen, glucosamine, anti-inflammatory formulations. A category with wide quality variance — we identify which products deliver clinical dosages and which rely on label decoration.
Skincare & Dermatological — Topical and ingestible products marketed for skin health. We evaluate active ingredient concentrations and the evidence base for claimed mechanisms.
GLP-1 Support Supplements — The rapidly growing category of non-prescription products marketed around GLP-1 pathways. We're clear about what these can and cannot do relative to prescription GLP-1 medications — and which ones have any clinical basis at all.
